Deployable, cyclone-resistant modular housing designed for disaster recovery, remote communities, and scalable developments — powered by advanced Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) technology.
Barkly Housing Systems — Enabled by SipsPacific
Across the Pacific and cyclone-prone regions worldwide, communities face a growing shortage of resilient, affordable housing. Traditional construction is too slow, labour-intensive, and vulnerable to extreme weather.
Disaster recovery, remote development, and social housing now require a different approach — one designed for speed, durability, and deployment at scale.
Barkly is an integrated modular housing platform engineered for rapid deployment in demanding environments. The system combines five core components working seamlessly together to deliver climate-resilient, affordable housing solutions.
The core structural unit designed for rapid assembly and deployment. Provides the foundation for flexible configurations.
Innovative concrete-free foundation system enabling minimal site preparation and rapid installation on diverse terrain.
Engineered structural frame providing cyclone-tested strength and durability in extreme weather conditions.
Fiber-reinforced polymer composite windows and doors offering superior thermal performance and corrosion resistance.
Advanced Structural Insulated Panels developed by SipsBuild (Perth) and tested/approved by Curtin University for thermal efficiency and structural integrity.

Barkly Steel Framing System

Barkly Complete System with Mega Anchor Footings
The modular design allows multiple 3×6 units to be connected using the steel framing system, creating larger buildings and multi-unit complexes. From single cabins to community-scale facilities, Barkly adapts to your needs.

Mega Anchor is a high-strength, galvanised steel micro pile foundation system engineered to replace traditional concrete piers. Designed for rapid deployment with minimal site preparation, Mega Anchor enables fast, cost-effective foundation installation for buildings, fencing, and solar projects.
Three galvanised steel piles per footing, hand-driven using a portable jackhammer to refusal. Average installation depth: 2 metres. No concrete required.
Modular buildings, emergency housing, fencing systems, solar installations, and any structure requiring rapid, reliable foundation deployment.

Shanghai G-Ren New Material Science and Technology Co., Ltd manufactures certified, energy-efficient glass fiber-reinforced polyurethane (GFRPU) composite windows and doors. Engineered for passive house performance and tested to Australian standards, GFRPU components deliver superior thermal efficiency, durability, and lightweight structural performance.

Shanghai G-Ren GFRPU Manufacturing & Applications
Shanghai G-Ren's advanced R&D capabilities are developing world-first airframe technology to replace traditional steel structural members. This innovation will deliver lightweight, high-strength composite structures that combine the durability of aerospace engineering with the efficiency of modular construction — enabling even faster deployment and superior performance for climate-resilient housing systems.
This next-generation technology is currently in development and will further enhance the Barkly system's structural capabilities and deployment speed.
Gudithulla Housing is establishing a 50-bed Indigenous workforce development hub in Mount Isa–Cloncurry, North West Queensland, supporting employment pathways for remote Indigenous workers into regional infrastructure and mining projects.
The village features 50 Barkly sleeping units, shared ablation facilities, training classrooms, and communal spaces on a 1.5–2 hectare site. Participants complete a 20-week residential readiness program covering workplace safety, life skills, and job preparation before transitioning into employment.
This project demonstrates how modular construction enables rapid deployment of community-scale facilities supporting Indigenous employment and economic participation.
